MDOT Highway Cleanup

We need your help! Come to our biannual HIGHWAY CLEANUP on Sat. April 20 at 9 a.m.  We meet in the ODEN PARK along US 131. 

Please dress accordingly.  Bring gloves, boots, drinking water and pick-up pinchers if you have them. Bring friends and family to help us. The more people, the faster we get finished.

Coffee Hour with Callie Barr

Connie Saltonstall & Friends from Charlevoix invite you to attend a Coffee Hour with Call Barr, candidate for 1st District Congressperson. This is a great time to meet the candidate and ask her questions.  If elected, she would become the first women Congressperson from Michigan's 1st Congressional District.

DNC Convention Delegate Elections

CD1 Meetings, May 11, Cheboygan

Each Congressional District in Michigan will elect Delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.  The First District is allocated 2 male and 3 female delegates to be elected at the District-wide meeting to be held in the Cheboygan Library, 100 S Bailey St, on May 11 at 11a.m.  Lunch can be purchased there for $20 or less.

Registration will begin at 10:15 a.m. and close at 11a.m. Please plan to attend if possible. Don't be late! 

Applications to run for these positions were due April 11.

Point of personal privilege:  Gordy and Carolyn Bourland are running for Convention Delegates for Joe Biden.  We would appreciate your support at this meeting. You must be a member of the Michigan Democratic Party to vote. 

NEW: If your membership has expired within the last 30 days, you can RENEW on that date and vote that day.  This is for RENEWALS only (Not for NEW members).  We hope to see you there!

State Representative Mallory McMorrow

Emmet County Post Card Blitz!

We will be sending out post cards to over 2000 Emmet County voters for the upcoming Nov. 5 Presidential Election.  We are in need of Post Card STAMPS. Please consider donating as many stamps as possible.  You can drop send them to PO BOX 823, Petoskey, MI 49770. 

Every little bit helps - how about a monthly donation of stamps until they are sent out?   We plan on sending two sets (2,000 each) of post cards before the election.  Please watch for info about addressing these post cards - we need your help here, too!

Indigenous Land Acknowledgement

The State of Michigan occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishinaabek - Three Fires Confederacy, the Odawa (Ottawa), Ojibwa (Chippewa), and Bode’wadmi (Potawatomi).
