Welcome to the Emmet County Democratic Party

As Democrats, we believe that first and foremost, the government has a responsibility to play a positive role in providing for the common good of all in our society.

Protests/Rallies

We are planning to hold Protest/Rallies on the 1st Saturday of each month as long as like-minded people in the area want to stand up and show their concern about what is going on in the beautiful  country of ours. These rallies will not be a "march."  We will meet at People's Park in Petoskey on US 31 between E. Lake Street & E. Mitchell Street. Please bring your signs, banners, flags, and like-minded friends & family.

The next protest/rally will be Sat. July 5, 12:00-2:00 pm.

No Kings Protest

June 14, 11:30-1:30, People’s Park, Petoskey

As Trump's has his $92 million birthday parade in Washington D.C, we will protest with a rally starting at the Clock Tower for those who want to march. Otherwise, meet us at the People's Park (The Hole) in Petoskey.

Bring your like-minded friends & family and your signs, banners & flags.

General Membership Meeting & Potluck

Indigenous Land Acknowledgement

The State of Michigan occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishinaabek - Three Fires Confederacy, the Odawa (Ottawa), Ojibwa (Chippewa), and Bode’wadmi (Potawatomi). The Michigan Democratic Party recognizes historic Indigenous communities in Michigan, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands.  We further recognize the ongoing relationship of dependence upon, and respect for, all living beings of earth, sky and water.  In offering this land acknowledgement we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.
